Pumpkin’s Wildlife Hospital
Registered Charity Number: 1196339
About the Charity
Much of our wildlife is threatened with extinction. Pumpkin’s Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre (PWHRC) provides veterinary care and rehabilitation to Britain’s sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, as well as collaborating with local communities to advocate on wildlife issues for the benefit of us and future generations.
What our donation will help fund
Most injured wildlife is put to sleep without medical care. This generous grant means we will save more lives and spark a step-change to wildlife treatment. It will help us continue to deliver high standards of veterinary care by buying life-saving medical equipment like oxygen converters and incubators. We can also kickstart the much-needed renovations of our facilities.
The funds will also help us plant over 200 hedgerow saplings to create safe, new homes for birds, hedgehogs, and their young. It will also provide important resources for our back-office and marketing operations to sustain the continuous fundraising we need to grow and save more local wildlife.
The Benefact Group, and the Movement for Good Awards, are critical to charities like ours and the endangered wildlife we protect. We plan to expand treatment capacity and deliver more education and essential research to broaden the public’s understanding of Britain’s wildlife, highlighting the critical role they play in our fragile ecosystem. Our success this year will lay the foundation for future growth through ongoing improvements to our facilities and partnerships with other wildlife organisations, veterinary partners, and local communities.
