What our grant will help to fund
The grant from Movement for Good will help us inspire people to volunteer their professional skills to support small charities who are dedicated to tackling the climate crisis. At a time when so many of us are experiencing increasing levels of eco-anxiety because of the scale of the crisis, providing the opportunity for people to volunteer their skills is a powerful way to encourage them to take positive action and fuel a movement for change.
Many environmental charities and good causes are small and constrained by limited resources. Skilled volunteers in areas like communications, digital marketing and research can be transformative in helping them achieve their purpose.
As part of the project, Reach will provide an ongoing hub for climate volunteering and will work to raise awareness among potential volunteers and organisations that would benefit from their skills. Through our activities, we will promote over 200 volunteer opportunities, generate 500 applications and engage with over 2,000 people.
Even more importantly, many volunteers will be working in ongoing roles and will continue to contribute their skills for years to come. We’ll be here to support them and encourage them to share their stories and spread the word to sustain the change into the future.
