Learning from the Fundraising forum

During a recent fundraising forum, Andy King, Director at Fireside Fundraising delivered an impactful presentation with his extensive insights on the nuances of securing funding. His depth of experience in collaborating with various funders illuminated several strategic approaches we had not previously considered. Notably, he emphasized the necessity of providing a comprehensive and honest overview of our current initiatives, outlining clearly what we do and how funding could significantly enhance the skills of the individuals we support.

Andy also underscored the importance of establishing effective partnerships with local businesses. He articulated how these collaborations could not only bolster our funding applications but also expand our reach and engagement with beneficiaries. His recommendations have provided us with a clearer path forward in our funding efforts and highlighted the critical role of transparency and collaboration in achieving our goals.

Impact and Changes Made

As a result of the forum, we have implemented several actionable steps to enhance our approach. We are currently exploring new partnerships with local businesses and showcasing positive case studies that highlight learner progression. Additionally, we are demonstrating to our beneficiaries the significant achievements that can be made with appropriate support. We have shared this information transparently to illustrate the potential outcomes for our learners.

Furthermore, we are working to expand our community engagement efforts, creating more opportunities for learners to participate in local activities, build relationships, and contribute to their communities.

While it is too early to quantify any direct financial impact, the long-term potential of these changes is significant. We believe that these improvements can increase support and outcomes for our learners, helping them achieve greater independence.

The insights we gained at the forum are already shaping our work, and we look forward to seeing the positive changes these adjustments will bring to the lives of those we support.

A huge thank you to all concerned, especially Andy and to the Benefact Group & Lycetts for hosting this wonderful event.
