We support and campaign for the 130,000 adults in the UK who have Cerebral Palsy.
What our donation will help fund
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is effectively seen as a paediatric condition by the NHS. You turn 18, and healthcare drops off a cliff. Yet CP is a lifelong condition, and adults with CP face unique challenges that often require specialist care.
With better understanding, and dedicated personalised medical provision, adults with CP can be better supported to delay and cope with the degenerative impact CP can have on the body. Our movement is about positively making the changes in ourselves, and in society, so that we can live our best lives.
To achieve that we need to reach as many people in the CP community as we can, and to have the loudest possible voice with politicians, officials and other policymakers who decide the quality and level of healthcare we receive. This generous award will be used to boost our communications to achieve these twin objectives.
