About the charity
Care In The Garden provides pre-employability training and meaningful work opportunities for adults with additional needs and mental health issues on the Isle of Wight, with the aim of helping them obtain supported work experience and paid employment opportunities.
What our donation will help fund
Adults with additional needs and mental health issues are severely disadvantaged in the workplace. Our CIC aims to provide them with the skills and confidence to enable them to undertake work experience or paid employment, supported by a work buddy who is a member of our staff.
The donation will enable us to cover transport costs to take clients to their work place. It will also enable us to offer this type of opportunity to clients who do not normally get one to one support, as we will be able to cover some of the additional staff costs that will be needed. This will ultimately enable more of our clients to have these opportunities.

We support 54 clients each week and the donation will help us to offer more of them the opportunity to undertake work experience or paid employment.”
