About the charity
Children Heard and Seen are the only UK charity supporting children with a parent in prison in their own communities.
What our donation will help fund
This £1000 will enable us to hold a Christmas Party for children and families we support all across the UK, so that they can come together and enjoy what otherwise can be quite a lonely and difficult time of year. Children and families will be able to meet others with shared experiences, in a safe and supportive environment. Many children impacted by parental imprisonment do not get a chance to meet others in their situation outside of a prison. This event will reduce feelings of shame, stigma and isolation among the families that we support.
