Columba 1400 is a charity and social enterprise based on the Isle of Skye. We enable young people in Scotland, especially those from tough realities, and the key adults in their life, to lead lives of purpose, meaning and contribution.
What our donation will help fund
At our charity and social enterprise based in Scotland, we enable young people, especially those from tough realities, and the key adults in their life to lead lives of purpose, meaning, and contribution.
Through our Young People’s Leadership Academies (YPLAs), held at our purpose-built leadership centre in Staffin on the Isle of Skye, as well as in community settings throughout Scotland, we provide transformative experiences which are designed to the unique needs of each individual and group, allowing participants to unlock their potential.
Your generous award of £5,000 will help us to fund young people to take part in one of these academies where they are immersed in a nurturing, safe, inclusive environment, rooted in our founding principles of warmth of welcome, warmth of hospitality and the warmth of being on a shared journey. This environment allows them to discover what truly matters to them.
Our vision is that every young person and key adults in their lives share a common experience and understanding of values-based leadership which enables them to realise their full potential and become the change they want to see in themselves and in their communities. Your donation will help us take another step closer to realising this vision.
