About the Charity
Coventry Cat Group is a volunteer-run charity which cares for and rehomes abandoned or feral cats and kittens, working with the local community to respond to queries and promote awareness of cat welfare.
What our donation will help fund
We have a significant problem of abandoned and feral cats locally and our centre is always full to capacity. We are totally volunteer-led and rely on donations from members of the public to provide ongoing care and support for the cats we take in, which includes giving them a warm and safe space, provision of food, neutering and ongoing health care.
We are facing many challenges with the increased price of supplies, and are experiencing a fall in donations as a result of the current cost of living. The £1,000 award will make a huge difference to our work, as we will be able to use the funds to contribute to food and other essentials to sustain the cats in our care, especially at this time of year as we approach peak kitten season, when our resources are even more stretched.
