What our grant will help to fund

This grant will support Heal Rewilding in two transformative areas: undertaking research and planning for a potential rewilding consultancy offering and upgrading part of the charity’s headquarters.

A nature-led land management service would accelerate Heal’s mission of restoring land to nature across England. The consultancy would work directly with landowners, providing expertise to rewild their land, generate sustainable income for Heal, and enhance the charity’s long-term financial sustainability. This grant will also fund critical refurbishments to the farmhouse at Heal Somerset, providing a dedicated space for the consultant to work while on-site and creating a functional environment for the team in the future.

We expect this initiative to become an essential contribution to the expansion of our reach and impact, allowing us to continue our vital work in rewilding and nature recovery long into the future, addressing biodiversity loss and contributing to the restoration of ecosystems across England.

“On behalf of Heal’s trustees and staff, I would like to express how honoured and excited we are to receive Benefact’s invaluable support for our plan to set up a rewilding consultancy service. This grant will significantly advance efforts to restore nature across England. It means a great deal to our wider Heal community—our dedicated volunteers, donors, business partners, and advisors—who believe in our vision and contribute to our success. This grant is a major milestone in our journey, and we are especially grateful for Benefact’s recognition of the importance of investing in both innovative projects and the infrastructure required to sustain them. This kind of forward-thinking support will allow us to grow and have a lasting impact.”
