We are an award-winning charity dedicated to reducing loneliness to older people in Wokingham Borough through one-to-one and group befriending, activities and community groups.
What our donation will help fund
Sundays can often feel pretty lonely. That’s why we created the Community Kitchen! It’s an excuse to gather our Link Friends of all ages to prepare, cook and eat delicious food together on a Sunday afternoon once a month, plus we can help with transport. As this is one of our most popular additional projects we have recently moved to larger premises and each month we are joined by 45 Link Friends plus 15 volunteer befrienders. This funding will cover the food, venue and activity costs for two Community Kitchen events.
