About the Charity

Notts and Yorkshire Boxer Rescue is a registered charity run entirely on a voluntary basis by a dedicated team of people who have a passion for the breed and to ensure the welfare and protection of Boxer Dogs in need of rehoming.

What our donation will help fund

As we are a registered charity our funds come entirely from donations and fundraising.

We rent kennels from an excellent kennel facility on an ongoing basis to ensure that any dogs that come to us are cared for 24/7 prior to rehoming.

We also currently have 3 dogs who are in long term foster care homes as they came to us when they were over 8 years old and 1 who has JKD (juvenile kidney disease). We provide food and veterinary treatment for them for the rest of their lives and whatever else they may need.

Whenever a dog comes into rescue, we ensure it has any vaccinations needed, any treatment and neutering if not already done, as well as a full health check. Unfortunately, we have another dog who has been adopted but it has since been discovered that he has a hip problem which has needed an operation and may need a further operation which could be very costly to us as regrettably his insurance won’t cover this as they have deemed it a preexisting condition despite our health checks which showed no obvious issues.

So your grant will help us to continue to help as many dogs as possible for which we are truly grateful.

“This very kind donation will be used towards ongoing vet and kennels and, in particular, the foster dogs in our care. We believe that all the dogs that come into our care deserve the best life despite their age or any ongoing health issues they may have.”
