About the Charity
Port Sunlight Village Trust is an independent charity responsible for preserving and promoting Port Sunlight and our aim is to make the village an inspiring place to live, work and visit for everyone.
What our donation will help fund
The award will provide valuable support to our project to repair Port Sunlight’s Grade II listed Boating Pond. Bringing this much-loved feature, alongside the beautiful Sir Charles Wheeler-designed Sea Piece fountain, back into use is a priority for us.
As a charity responsible for preserving and promoting Port Sunlight, this donation will help us to further engage the public with both Port Sunlight’s cultural importance and the significant examples of public art we care for.
Port Sunlight Village Trust was lucky enough to receive a £20,000 Movement for Good Award in 2022, which has also supported this ongoing conservation project, so we are very grateful to Movement for Good and Benefact Group for their continued support.
