About the charity
Rainbow Living is a volunteer-led charity providing accommodation for adults with learning and other disability in Devon to enable independent supported living in our local communities.
What our donation will help fund
We need to replace the specialist bath at our Rainbow Living house in Torquay. The cost of the Gemini specialist bath is £11,750 so having £1,000 towards this will be a huge help! The Gemini bath is designed for bathers needing specialist care; it comes with an integrated variable-height platform to assist with bathing, drying and changing, and the bather can also control the movements of the platform and bath themselves, thereby enhancing autonomy whilst being supported by carers. This will also support our tenant in building confidence in their independent living skills.
