About the Charity
Tewkesbury Nature Reserve is a charity working to conserve and enhance our 44-hectare floodplain nature reserve with opportunities for public learning and engagement to provide a safe-haven for both wildlife and the local community to thrive.
What our donation will help fund
At Tewkesbury Nature Reserve, we are currently delivering our Green Lung Project which aims to increase our local communities’ nature connectedness and enhance health and wellbeing and eco-stewardship through providing a number of learning and outreach opportunities.
The £1000 Movement for Good Award donation will enable us to continue to build upon our valuable Green Lung Project work and support local children through providing nature-based outdoor arts and discovery activities for green recovery from the effects of the pandemic. These activities aim to provide a safe space for children to explore their local wildlife and habitats and increase their confidence, creativity, independence and resilience.
