What our donation will help fund
The whole team at Safe in Sussex (registered charity name Worthing Women’s Aid Ltd) is hugely grateful for the support people have shown by nominating us for this money. This £1000 will go towards supporting the people living in any of the 4 emergency refuges we run. Unrestricted funds like this enable us to provide a holistic and trauma-focused support system to people when they are particularly vulnerable. Whether it’s clothes for a woman who has fled an abusive relationship with nothing, a welcome pack of toiletries, a teddy offering comfort to a small child, basic food to start a stay in refuge or toys for the children, donations like this make a tremendous difference.
