Our Planet Our Part Banner

As a responsible business, we know we have an important part to play in protecting our planet.

We are taking responsibility for climate change by addressing our carbon contributions, while supporting customers and communities to tackle their climate challenges too.
To achieve this, we’re decarbonising where we can, challenging and influencing who we invest in, supporting the customers we insure to become more climate resilient, and giving to charities making a big difference in all aspects of climate from biodiversity restoration to education in schools.
At the same time, we’re continually working to better understand and measure our impacts, you can read more in our TCFD report.
The Benefact Group is a member of ClimateWise, a voluntary industry initiative to drive climate responsibility and action.

For us climate impact is very clearly about:

How our colleagues are playing their part

Quote by Amelia Gaston
We've launched a Climate Action Plan in Australia to focus our minds on supporting our customers to adapt and build resilience.

Our roadmap to Net Zero

We believe reducing our carbon impact is the right thing to do. That’s why we’re going further with our plans to remove our historic direct impact by 2030. It’s a bold ambition, but one that we know – with hard work and innovation – is achievable.

Time line to net zero up to 2040

We support environmental charities

Our funding is supporting charities including Heal Rewilding, which is working to restore natural habitats, and English Heritage, which is studying the impact of climate change on heritage buildings for the benefit of all historic property owners.
